Frequently asked questions

How much will it cost me to get started?

You can get started in this business for free. However, we do recommend you have a domain name (approx. $10 a year) and web hosting (approx. $5 a month). It's also beneficial if you have a small budget for marketing material i.e. advertising, business cards, flyers etc..

Will this business become saturated?

Mobile web usage is increasing in popularity every month - and it's predicted by 2013, more people will be accessing the web from mobile phones than from PCs.

What skills will I need to provide this service?

Basic internet skills are required. If you can access websites via FTP, make minor changes to HTML pages and create basic images that will be enough to get started. You could learn all of these skills in a few hours and we have links to all the tutorials for them on our 'Resources' page inside the members area.

Are there any server requirements

Your web hosting will need to support PHP and MySQL - we're considering porting everything over to other languages but at the moment the majority of clients support these 2 technologies.

You're using an admin panel for your mobile websites; does this mean the pages will load slowly?

The admin panel is only for editing the mobile website.

When your mobile website is visited they're only loading up the mobile website. The mobile site is about 20kb and optimized to load as quick as possible. If you run it through the W3C mobile website checker it scores 85%+.

Why haven't you used Wordpress for this?

Wordpress is for blogging.

It has far to many unnessassry features for a simple mobile website. You're clients will log into Wordpress and be very confused. Our admin panel is designed for the average Internet user.

Will my clients be able to access and use the admin area to update there mobile website?

If you decide to give your clients the password they can edit there mobile website easily. You will find clear instructions on the welcome page and we also include a basic 'user guide' for you to give to them. It can also be branded with your name or company name.

What rights do I have with your mobile website design and CMS admin script?

If you are a member of MobileBusinessPlus Members Area you have the rights to rebrand it and sell it to your mobile web design clients for a set or monthly fee. If you discontinue your membership you no longer have the rights to use our scripts.
